Noelridge Aquatic Center Opens for Memorial Day Weekend Swimming

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – The Cedar Rapids municipal pool swimming season will begin Memorial Day weekend with pre-season swimming at Noelridge Aquatic Center on Saturday, May 27; Sunday, May 28; and Monday, May 29 (Memorial Day). Lap swims will be held from 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m. each day and open swims from 1-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and from 1-5 p.m. on Monday.

Noelridge and Cherry Hill Aquatic Centers will be open for daily swimming starting Saturday, June 3. Bever, Ellis, and Jones Pools will open Saturday, June 10. Daily schedules for regular season swimming will vary by pool. The schedules are available on the Parks and Recreation Department’s website: CRREC.org.

Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation summer swim passes, and punch cards are available for purchase. Season passes provide admission to Water Exercise classes and Open, Family, Adult, and daily Lap Swims as age appropriate. The passes are valid May 22, 2023, through September 4, 2023. Go to CRREC.org for more information on passes and the season dates for each pool.

Punch cards may be used by an individual, a group, or transferred to another person for any age-appropriate public swim and water exercise class. The cost is $83. No photo is required. The passes expire on the 20th punch. Punch passes may be purchased at any of the outdoor pools when they are open.
