Congresswoman Ashley Hinson from Iowa's 2nd District has announced her continued role on key subcommittees within the House Appropriations Committee. She will serve on the Financial Services and General Government, Homeland Security, and Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration Subcommittees.
In a statement, Congresswoman Hinson expressed her commitment to representing Iowans during the government funding process. "I am honored to continue serving on these influential subcommittees and ensure Iowans have a seat at the table during the government funding process," she said. Hinson emphasized her focus on saving taxpayers money while investing in significant programs and priorities for Iowa. "Under President Trump, we have a historic opportunity to restore fiscal sanity and start ensuring Washington budgets like Iowa families do, and I look forward to delivering."
Chairman Tom Cole praised Congresswoman Hinson's dedication to legislative duties. "The Appropriations Committee is fortunate to have strong legislators ready to work," he remarked. He noted her commitment to reducing government spending while advocating for Iowa agriculture and conservative priorities. "Cutting government waste while continuing to invest in border security, key agriculture programs, and rural health care remain central priorities," he added.
