The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department will offer pre-season swims at both Cherry Hill Aquatic Center, 341 Stoney Point Road NW, and Noelridge Aquatic Center, 1248 42nd Street NE, on Thursday, June 1, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is $2.00 per person; swim passes are accepted. The special swims, in advance of these pools opening this weekend for the summer season, are being offered to provide a break from the heat. Concessions will not be available.
