Congresswoman Ashley Hinson has addressed the recent decision by the United States Postal Service (USPS) regarding postal operations in Waterloo. The USPS has opted to retain certain mail processing activities in the area, a move that will not result in any job losses.

Hinson stated, "I personally advocated to the Postmaster General to prevent the outsourcing of all mail processing operations in Waterloo and to ensure there would be no job losses." She expressed approval of the decision but emphasized that efforts to protect jobs and maintain reliable postal services for Iowans will continue. "While their decision to retain some mail processing in Waterloo and not cut any postal jobs is a positive step, this is not the end of the conversation. I will continue working to protect jobs and ensure reliable postal service for all Iowans," she added.

The announcement marks a significant development for postal workers and residents relying on these services in Waterloo.
