Traffic Closure Notices

City of Cedar Rapids recently issued the following announcement.

O Avenue NW Closure

Effective Monday, February 21, O Avenue NW will be closed between Blanche Drive and Woodside Drive for storm sewer and water utility work, as part of ongoing pavement and utility improvements. The work is expected to take one (1) week, weather permitting. Detour will be posted.

Portion of Sac & Fox Trail to Close for Indian Creek Waterway Cleanup

Portions of the Sac & Fox Trail will close beginning Monday, December 13. Contractors will be cleaning up and removing debris and trees damaged in the August 2020 reecho along the Indian Creek waterway. The first section to close is from the Bertram Road railroad bridge (at the confluence of Indian Creek and the Cedar River) to the intersection of the trail with Mount Vernon Road (see map). The length of the closures has not yet been determined.

North Side Portion of Cedar Lake Trail Closed | October 26

The southern portion of Cedar Lake Trail was reopened Monday. The northern portion of the trail is now closed and will remain closed for approximately two years for construction of the flood control system. Click map showing closed section (red) and open section (green).
