Home prices increased in Marion during Q3

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2022 in Marion rose by $25,800 while total sales decreased by 26.6 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September, there were 232 homes sold, with a median sale price of $230,550 - a 12.6 percent increase over the $204,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 316 homes sold in Marion in the third quarter of 2021.

The median sales tax in Marion for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,258, approximately 1.4 percent of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2022.
