Fairfax home prices rose in Q3

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2022 in Fairfax rose by $90,858 while total sales decreased by 20.8 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September, there were 19 homes sold, with a median sale price of $381,108 - a 31.3 percent increase over the $290,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 24 homes sold in Fairfax in the third quarter of 2021.

The median sales tax in Fairfax for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,172, approximately 0.8 percent of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2022.
