First half of 2022: Marion experienced an 8.8% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Marion rose by $17,500 while total sales decreased by 37.5 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 227 homes sold, with a median sale price of $217,500 - an 8.8 percent increase over the $200,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 363 homes sold in Marion in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Marion for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,258, approximately 1.5 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
