Fairfax home prices rose in the first half of 2022

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Fairfax rose by $168,000 while total sales decreased by 33.3 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 22 homes sold, with a median sale price of $358,000 - an 88.4 percent increase over the $190,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 33 homes sold in Fairfax in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Fairfax for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,172, approximately 0.9 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
