The third quarter of 2021: Marion experienced a 7.2% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Marion rose by $13,750 while total sales increased by 39.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 316 homes sold, with a median sale price of $204,750 - a 7.2% increase over the $191,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 227 homes sold in Marion in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Marion for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,258, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
