Coe College transitions to online bookstore

Bookstore

Coe College issued the following announcement on September 03.

BookstoreWhile Kohawks enjoyed summer break, campus was buzzing with the launch of a new bookstore. Coe College is partnering with Akademos to provide a comprehensive online bookstore powered by TextbookX and with Sodexo to provide an on-campus spirit store.

“It became clear to us that Akademos had the right mix of cutting-edge technology, inventory and superior customer experience to meet our needs for an extensive selection of course materials. The partnership with Akademos also enabled us to provide a unique amenity on campus at the request of our student body. The former bookstore location has been set up as our new convenience store, KoGo Marketplace and Spirit Store. We’ve expanded our dining services partnership with Sodexo to provide snacks and drinks in the new spirit store that also features a wide selection of Kohawk apparel,” said Larry Lee, vice president for finance and administration.

The Coe online bookstore allows students to have a complete online experience with access to digital course materials and the option to have textbooks shipped to home or campus. If students or faculty need assistance with books they can consult directly with the staff at KoGo Marketplace and Spirit Store. Perks include:

Complete an order in 5 minutes.

New, used, eBook and rental textbook formats available.

Savings that average 60% off list price compared to other textbook websites.

Price match guarantee on new books.

Free shipping on textbook orders over $49.

In order to ensure the best pricing possible for students, Coe is not receiving any revenue or a percentage of sales as part of the new partnership with Akademos. All savings are passed to students through purchase price. Additionally, Akademos awarded the college a grant to distribute to students in the form of scholarship funds.

KoGo Marketplace and Spirit Store in lower Gage features the largest selection of Kohawk gear and merchandise in one place, brand name clothing and the ability to order custom apparel for Coe student clubs and organizations. The Sodexo partnership allows the store to also offer hot food, beverages and coffee. The Coe community will be selecting an official name for the convenience store during the 21-22 academic year.

The Coe online bookstore can be accessed at coe.textbookx.com and KoGo Marketplace and Spirit Store is currently active on Facebook with a website coming soon.
