The second quarter of 2021: Fairfax experienced a 29% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in Fairfax fell by $77,450 while total sales increased by 16.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were 21 homes sold, with a median sale price of $190,000 - a 29% decrease over the $267,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 18 homes sold in Fairfax in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Fairfax for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,172, approximately 1.7% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
