The first quarter of 2021: Mount Vernon experienced a 4.2% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2021 in Mount Vernon rose by $7,500 while total sales increased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2021, there were 14 homes sold, with a median sale price of $185,000 - a 4.2% increase over the $177,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 10 homes sold in Mount Vernon in the first quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Mount Vernon for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,654, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2021.
