The fourth quarter of 2020: Home prices in Cedar Rapids fell

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2020 in Cedar Rapids fell by $1,000 while total sales decreased by 1.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2020, there were 577 homes sold, with a median sale price of $145,000 - a 0.7% decrease over the $146,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 587 homes sold in Cedar Rapids in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Cedar Rapids for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,561, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2020.
