Cost of college went up for all students at Coe College

Tuition and fees rose 3.8 percent for 2018-19 at Coe College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Iowa students paid $44,050 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,620 more than the $42,430 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 399 students received grants or scholarships totaling $13 million and 299 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.4 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,422), 1,353 students used grants or scholarships totaling $42.1 million, and 1,014 students took out $7.8 million in federal student loans.
