Marion home prices rise in the second quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2020 in Marion rose by $10,000 while total sales decreased by 33.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2020, there were 189 homes sold, with a median sale price of $184,500 - a 5.7% increase over the $174,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 285 homes sold in Marion in the second quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Marion for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,258, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2020.
