Cedar Rapids home prices rise in May 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2020 in Cedar Rapids rose by $3,500 while total sales decreased by 40.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2020, there were 164 homes sold, with a median sale price of $143,500 - a 2.5% increase over the $140,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 274 homes sold in Cedar Rapids in May 2019.

The median sales tax in Cedar Rapids for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,561, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for May 2020.
