Coggon home prices fall in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Coggon fell by $38,817 while total sales increased by 11.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 10 homes sold, with a median sale price of $79,750 - a 32.7% decrease over the $118,567 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Coggon in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Coggon for 2017 was $1,750. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,780. This marks an decrease of 1.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
