Central City home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Central City fell by $17,900 while total sales increased by 38.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 18 homes sold, with a median sale price of $87,000 - a 17.1% decrease over the $104,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 13 homes sold in Central City in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Central City for 2017 was $2,207. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,205. This marks an increase of 0.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.5%.
