Marion home prices fall in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Marion fell by $7,100 while total sales decreased by 9.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 310 homes sold, with a median sale price of $167,700 - a 4.1% decrease over the $174,800 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 342 homes sold in Marion in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Marion for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,255, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
