Hiawatha home prices fall in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Hiawatha fell by $23,750 while total sales increased by 2.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 36 homes sold, with a median sale price of $166,250 - a 12.5% decrease over the $190,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 35 homes sold in Hiawatha in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Hiawatha for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,889, approximately 1.7% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
