Fairfax home prices rise in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Fairfax rose by $44,000 while total sales increased by 14.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 24 homes sold, with a median sale price of $192,000 - a 29.7% increase over the $148,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 21 homes sold in Fairfax in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Fairfax for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,172, approximately 1.7% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
