Marion home prices fall in November 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in November 2017 in Marion fell by $41,725 while total sales increased by 4.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In November 2017, there were 86 homes sold, with a median sale price of $150,500 - a 21.7% decrease over the $192,225 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 82 homes sold in Marion in November 2016.

The median sales tax in Marion for 2017 was $3,255. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,170. This marks an increase of 2.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
