Cedar Rapids home prices rise in November 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in November 2017 in Cedar Rapids rose by $9,500 while total sales increased by 26.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In November 2017, there were 246 homes sold, with a median sale price of $139,500 - a 7.3% increase over the $130,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 194 homes sold in Cedar Rapids in November 2016.

The median sales tax in Cedar Rapids for 2017 was $2,557. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,584. This marks an decrease of 1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
