The Office of Congresswoman Ashley Hinson has called for submissions for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition, open to high school students in Iowa's Second Congressional District. This national competition provides a platform for young artists to display their work.

Congresswoman Hinson commented on the event, stating, "The Congressional Art Competition is a wonderful opportunity for young Iowa artists to showcase their talent and creativity. Every year, I look forward to seeing all the incredible submissions and the passion and stories behind each piece. I highly encourage students across the district to participate in this unique tradition!"

The competition is available to students in grades 9 through 12 who live or go to school in the district. The chosen piece will be exhibited in the U.S. Capitol for one year, representing the district among other winners from across the country. Students must submit their artwork by April 25th, 2025, at 5 p.m.

Additional information and submission guidelines can be found on Congresswoman Hinson's website.
