The office of Congresswoman Ashley Hinson has announced the opening of submissions for the Spring 2025 Congressional Art Competition. This nationwide competition offers high school students an opportunity to display their artistic abilities.

"The Congressional Art Competition is a wonderful opportunity for young Iowa artists to showcase their talent and creativity. Every year, I look forward to seeing all the incredible submissions and the passion and stories behind each piece. I highly encourage students across the district to participate in this unique tradition!" stated Congresswoman Ashley Hinson.

Eligible participants include high school students from grades 9 through 12 who either reside or attend school in Iowa's Second Congressional District. The winning artwork will be displayed for one year at the U.S. Capitol alongside other winning pieces from districts across the nation. Submissions are due by April 25, 2025, at 5 p.m.

Further details and submission guidelines can be found at hinson.house.gov/art.
