Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) has voted to establish the Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump. The task force will possess subpoena power as it investigates and releases a report on federal actions related to the attempted assassination of former President Trump.

"Director Cheatle’s resignation was just the first step to ensure full accountability for the assassination attempt on President Trump. While the President miraculously survived this attempt on his life, the American people deserve answers on this massive security failure. That's why I voted to create a bipartisan, investigative task force to uncover and resolve systemic failures at the Secret Service and improve safety for both elected leaders and Americans participating in our political process," stated Congresswoman Hinson.
