Washington, DC - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) released a statement calling for U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to resign.

“It has been over a week since President Trump was nearly assassinated and there has been zero accountability for this massive security failure. Not a single person has been fired and we are left with more questions than answers. It's unbelievable that a rooftop in such close proximity to the rally was not secured and that the Secret Service reportedly spotted the shooter before President Trump took the stage and did nothing. President Trump was inches from death and an American hero, Corey Comperatore, died on Director Cheatle's watch. Director Cheatle must resign so that leaders of all parties are secure and Americans feel safe participating in our political process," stated Congresswoman Ashley Hinson.
