Congresswoman Hinson (IA-02) has co-sponsored the No American Land for Communist China Act, a piece of legislation spearheaded by Representative Dan Newhouse (WA-04). The bill aims to prevent members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) or any CCP-backed entities from acquiring land in close proximity to federal U.S. property. This measure is intended to safeguard military installations, national laboratories, and lands containing critical resources.

"Our efforts to block Communist China from purchasing U.S. land must be airtight because they will exploit any loophole available to steal from us and undermine our national security. I'm proud to join legislation that specifically prevents Communist China from infiltrating federal land, which often includes sensitive military installations and national labs. I will continue working to ensure Communist China cannot buy another acre of U.S. land," stated Congresswoman Ashley Hinson.

The No American Land for Communist China Act prohibits any agents of the People's Republic of China or businesses with ties to the CCP from purchasing land adjacent to U.S. federal property. Federal land encompasses areas owned by the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Defense, and the Department of the Interior.
