During a recent House Appropriations Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee hearing, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) confronted Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Commissioner Danny Werfel about the impact of IRS employees' telework on customer service. Hinson criticized the quality of service provided to Iowans by IRS employees working from home.

Congresswoman Hinson expressed her dissatisfaction, stating, "It is unacceptable that IRS employees are 'working from home' while Iowans' needs are put on the back burner. Every single IRS employee should be in the office providing the best possible customer service to Iowans whose taxpayer dollars pay their salary. I will continue holding the Administration accountable for allowing bureaucrats to do the bare minimum while hardworking taxpayers struggle."

Hinson's questioning can be viewed here.
