As part of National Social Work Month, Angela McKinney '19, MSW, LISW will discuss how the PACT program works to reduce stigma and institutionalization of individuals living with a severe and persistent mental illness.
She will also draw into focus the impact of racism on Black women’s mental health and her current work to create supportive programming that addresses vicarious trauma experienced in communities of color.
Angela is a supervisor for the Abbe Mental Health Center's Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT).
Feel free to bring your lunch. Beverages will be provided. Event is co-hosted by the Social Work Organization (SWO) and social work program.
