City of Cedar Rapids PACT Tent
Date: Sep 21, 2022
Day: Wednesday
Time: 05:00 pm - 07:00 pm
Duration: 120 Minutes
Detail:
The City of Cedar Rapids recognizes National Preparedness Month with a week-long traveling event dedicated to the City’s P.A.C.T. (Prepare. Act. Train. Communicate.) program.
P.A.C.T. is a City-wide program promoting residential, commercial and individual preparedness in the face of emergency situations.
Cedar Rapids Fire provides much of the support and content to the P.A.C.T. program and actively works with many local and national agencies to make sure we’re all ready for disaster.
September 19-23, Cedar Rapids Fire and City Staff will travel the City to offer preparedness advice to residents, offer advice and a wide range of safety topics and help ensure they’re able to receive City news in a disaster through the MyCR Mobile App. Locations were selected as they each serve as a Neighborhood Resource Center (NRC). NRC locations are central gathering points for City services in times of disaster where information, necessities and services can be staged for neighborhood users.
