Coe College is proud to announce Four Oaks Family and Children Services as a recipient of the Presidents' Community Partner Award in conjunction with Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact (IAMNCC). As a community partner, Four Oaks enables Coe students to actively support families and children through a variety of opportunities to get involved and uplift the Cedar Rapids community. The relationship is fostered through community and civic engagement efforts led by Coe’s C3: Creativity, Careers, Community center which connects Coe students to volunteer and employment opportunities at Four Oaks.
The IAMNCC Presidents’ Community Partner Awards recognize an organization’s reciprocal partnership with a college or university to enhance civic and community engagement, as well as enrich educational outcomes. It’s also one of many organizations Coe is partnered with to provide Kohawks internships – relationships that have helped Coe secure the 10th spot in The Princeton Review for Best Schools for Internships among private colleges and universities for the fifth consecutive year this spring.
Coe will continue to collaborate with Four Oaks to expand student engagement and support to those in need.
IAMNCC is an association of college and university presidents to strengthen its member colleges and universities’ missions to prepare all students to become engaged citizens.
