The Washington Municipal Airport Commission is seeking bids for the 2022 mowing season. This work will be to maintain approximately 84 acres of grass around the runways, taxiways, hangars and terminal building at the airport, which is located 2 miles South of the City of Washington. The attached map shows the area under bid. There is also some light landscaping work required. The commission is seeking a flat rate on a ‘per-time’ mowing basis. Lawn maintenance at the airport plays a critical role in aircraft safety as it provides overrun margins around the runways and also helps control wildlife.
