The Washington Police Department is seeking professional, dedicated, and enthusiastic applicants for the position of Police Officer.
Iowa Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) certification preferred, but not required. Officers work 12-hour shifts and starting pay for certified officers is $47,743 – $65,425 depending on experience and qualifications.
Completed application, cover letter and resume must be submitted to the Washington Police Department by April 29, 2022, at 4PM.
Physical Agility & POST testing: ILEA certified applicants are waived from the physical agility and POST testing. Non-ILEA certified candidates will be contacted with testing dates. Applicants with a valid POST score within the past year are waived from POST testing.
