The talent shortage is real, not only skills but bodies, and it is crippling business growth. Yesterday’s recruitment and retention practices simply won’t work anymore. Employers need to be creative and innovative in their search for talent and in their efforts to retain employees. During this session Cherrie will share the numbers behind the talent shortage, effective approaches to a positive candidate experience, what an engaging employee experiences is, and her top ten talent attraction strategies.

Cherrie Spurlin (SHRM-CP) is an Executive Director at MRA—The Management Association. Those who have worked with Cherrie describe her as a very positive person. She is often told that her enthusiasm is contagious. Cherrie believes people are a company’s greatest assets and true leadership is about taking the time to mentor, coach, and develop others. Cherrie has presented and taught on many leadership, business and human resource topics for universities, organizations, conferences, and associations in the Midwest.
