Marion Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
The Linn-Mar School Foundation welcomes Shelley Schroeder as the new Executive Director. Shelley comes to the Foundation having worked in the banking industry for nearly 20 years. Most recently, she was the Treasury Management Officer for Farmers State Bank in Marion. Shelley joined the Board of Directors for the Linn-Mar Foundation in 2016 and served as the President during the 2018-2019 term. Shelley brings with her a wealth of knowledge in the financial industry as well as prior experience with many nonprofit organizations. Shelley has undergraduate degrees from the University of Northern Iowa in Business Administration and Finance/Real Estate, as well as a Master’s Degree in Business from the University of Iowa. The Foundation Board of Directors is excited to welcome Shelley to her new role.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve the Linn-Mar School Foundation. My passion for ensuring our youth have access to a quality education resonates in my heart. I am eager to work with the Linn-Mar staff to understand their needs and work together to accomplish the District’s goals,” says Schroeder.
Shelley is the proud mother of 3 children, Colyns, Addyson, and Anders that attend the Linn-Mar School District. Shelley is married to Brandon who works as a motivational safety speaker and electrician. They love spending time with friends and participating in youth sports.
