City of Kalona recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Kalona's Fall Cleanup:
- October 23rd, 2021. 9 AM till Noon
- City Shop: 711 A Avenue (use the east gate)
- No Charge. MUST BE A KALONA RESIDENT
- Residents MUST unload all items into the dumpsters
- Materials Banned from the Landfill: Yard Waste-Tires/Computer and TV Monitors-Appliances-Oil-Lead acid batteries. These items must be properly recycled and handled through a program offered at the Iowa City Landfill and Recycle Center.
- No Pickups
- No Bulk building materials due to limited dumpster space
