Marion Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
HEALTHIEST STATE WALK
Date and Time: Wednesday, October 6, 2021 12:00 Noon - 12:30 PM CST

Physical activity is one of the most important things all Iowans can do to improve their health – and walking is a great way to get moving while connecting with your fellow community members.
The Iowa Healthiest State 11th Annual Walk, presented by Delta Dental of Iowa, asks Iowans to walk for 30 minutes. Marion is joining the effort on October 6 with walks in two different locations, both beginning at Noon.
- YMCA and Rec Center, 3740 Irish Drive. The walk will begin at the YMCA and walk toward Lowe Park. Approximately 30 minutes.
- Marion City Hall, 1225 6th Avenue. The walk will begin at City Hall and walk along the new 6th Avenue corridor. Approximately 30 minutes.
