Marion City Facilities Reintroduce COVID-19 Safety Measures

Marion

City of Marion recently issued the following announcement.

Due to increased COVID-19 virus activity in Linn County, the City of Marion has reintroduced face mask requirements at City facilities. In addition, all public meetings will be held virtually through the month of September.

Current CDC guidance indicates that even those who are fully vaccinated, to maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others, should wear a mask indoors in public if in an area of substantial or high transmission. Linn County is an area of high transmission.

City employees and members of the public visiting City facilities are now required to wear face coverings. In addition, all meetings of the Marion City Council and City boards and commissions will occur virtually through the month of September. Agendas will be published with instructions for accessing all public meetings. This will be reevaluated at the end of the month.

City facilities remain open to walk-in traffic. Residents and businesses may continue to conduct City business online, by phone or via email.
