City of Marion issued the following announcement on August 18.
The City of Marion will host “Pop-Up Acts” in the Uptown Artway this summer on a series of Friday evenings. Enjoy free live music from the Uptown Artway or the patio of a nearby business on select Fridays from 5-7 p.m.
The Uptown Artway is located between 10th and 11th Streets and 7th and 8th Avenues in Uptown Marion.
The event series will feature a variety of local acts:
Aug. 20 -The Janeys
Aug. 27 - Ace Jones
Sept. 17 - Billy Heller
Sept. 24 - Matt Gogel
Keep an eye out for additional dates as they “pop up” later this summer and fall.
