Home prices increased in Marion during the second quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in Marion rose by $15,500 while total sales increased by 21.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were 229 homes sold, with a median sale price of $200,000 - a 8.4% increase over the $184,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 189 homes sold in Marion in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Marion for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,258, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
