City of Belle Plaine issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.
Looking for energetic volunteer (s) to operate the Benton County Food Pantry in Belle Plaine, located across from City Hall in Belle Plaine. HACAP delivers foods or volunteer(s) can drive to Hiawatha to pick up orders they generate. Mileage reimbursement only. Works with guidance of Board members, and training provided. Distribute food to needy families, seniors, and veterans at site. Site open 1:30-4:00 p. m. on Tuesdays for distribution. You would be a leader with guidelines from USDA and the food pantry board.
