Kirkwood Community College issued the following announcement on Mar. 31.

ALL LECTURE FORMAT CLASSES WILL REMAIN ONLINE FOR THE REST OF TERM
All lecture format classes have moved online for the rest of the semester.
ALL LABS AND HANDS-ON COURSES ARE CURRENTLY SUSPENDED IF NOT ABLE TO BE MOVED ONLINE
All face-to-face classes that are labs and hands-on courses are currently suspended. Students should check Talon and their Kirkwood email for updates from their faculty regarding how classes will continue.
COLLEGE SERVICES, BUILDINGS, AND LOCATIONS
Kirkwood’s service employees are currently working remotely off campus and are available by email or phone. All Kirkwood buildings and locations are currently closed and are scheduled to reopen May 4.
KIRKWOOD LIBRARIES
The libraries on both the main campus and Iowa City campus will open on May 4.
STUDY ABROAD AND COLLEGE-RELATED TRAVEL
All 2020 Study Abroad programs have been canceled or postponed to 2021. All other college-related travel is suspended until May 4.
IN-PERSON COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY CANCELLED
The in-person commencement ceremony has been cancelled. The college is planning on holding an online virtual commencement ceremony to celebrate the achievements of our 2020 graduates. More details will be released soon. Students will be able to return their cap and gown. Details on how to return them are posted on www.kirkwood.edu/commencement.
COVID-19 HOTLINE
If you contracted COVID-19, have been exposed, think you have been exposed, or recently returned from a high-risk country (Level 3), please notify the college using Kirkwood’s COVID-19 exposure hotline at 319-784-1650.
