Marion home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Marion rose by $14,100 while total sales decreased by 14.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were 214 homes sold, with a median sale price of $174,000 - a 8.8% increase over the $159,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 249 homes sold in Marion in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Marion for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,255, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2019.
