2,006 residents die of chronic lower respiratory disease in Iowa in 2016

There were 2,006 Iowa residents who died of chronic lower respiratory disease (CLRD) in 2016, a 0.2 percent decrease from the previous year, according to data obtained from the National Center for Health Statistics.

In 2015, 2,011 Iowa residents died of CLRD.

The National Center for Health Statistics is the nation’s primary health statistics agency. The CDC and other health-related organizations can use NCHS data for a variety of ends.
