Washington, D.C. - The Office of Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) has announced the opening of submissions for the Spring 2024 Congressional Art Competition. This nationwide high school arts competition offers students from the Second Congressional District in Iowa a platform to display their artistic abilities.

"Every Spring, the Congressional Art Competition provides young Iowa artists with the opportunity to showcase their talent. I encourage students across the district to participate and I look forward to seeing your submissions!" expressed Congresswoman Ashley Hinson.

High school students in grades 9th to 12th who either reside or attend school in the Second Congressional District are eligible to participate in the competition. The winning piece of art will be exhibited for one year in the U.S. Capitol, alongside winning entries from districts across the country.

Interested students are required to submit their artwork by April 26th, 2024, at 5 pm. More information and submission details can be found on the official website hinson.house.gov/art.

With the deadline approaching, aspiring young artists from IA-02 are encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity to showcase their creativity and talent on a national stage.
